After watching game 4 of Lakers vs Nuggets playoff series, I became disgusted by the way the Nuggets played basketball. I now dislike the Denver Nuggets due because they are a dirty playing team in my book. I want to point out a couple of things from this NBA playoff match that got me thinking:
- First off, their team has a batch of technical fouls all by different Nuggets players and there were some other dirty plays that didn't get called.
- The Nuggets Dahntay Jones, is a dirty player in my book, because his way of stopping the Lakers Kobe Bryant from going up for a layup is an unsportsmanship-like shove to Kobe's back that can cause an injury.
- And again on another cowardly play, Dahntay shamelessly tripped Kobe after he broke away from him on a offensive play.
- The Nuggets Kenyon Martin has been on my dirty NBA player's list. A play involving Lakers Pau Gasol, (I've seen him pulled this dirty play in previous games) Kenyon tucked Pau's arm under his arm as a shot is going up to prevent him from rebounding. A play like that can sometimes be mistaken as a foul on the player who was simply trying to break away from the hold. I'm glad the ref spotted the illegal move and awarded the foul to Kenyon.
One admiring thing I've got to comment about this series so far is Kobe Bryant's toughness. I've got to say is a perfect example of Dilligence and should be respected. He works hard out on the courts and takes a beating by the players who is guarding him all the time. Kobe's talent has his defenders pulling dirty plays just to stop him; from pushing, tripping, elbowing, to holding him. Here are some photos I found from www.NBA.com:
Right now I have no respect for the Nuggets and I hope the Lakers pull together next game to take out this dirty team. When it comes to any sort of competition, I appreciate the team that destroys their opponent with "Due Dilligence," hustling hard, and playing strategically.
